Shipping routes, which takes you along the beautiful nature and impressive peatlands of Friesland. You can choose your own route, but you can also ask our harbour master to the many possibilities. A beautiful route which takes you along for example, the popular standing mast Grou route.
For detailed navigation maps of the Frisian Lakes you can go to the bookstore Bruna in Grou. Besides to waterways there are locks, bridges and bridge-times indicated on this maps, including the height of the bridge. You will not encounter any unpleasant surprises.
A number of beautiful sailing routes are:
- The Elfsteden (tour) route; During this route you will sail most of the Elfsteden route. An unforgettable Frisian challenge! Even without ice!
- The Route through the National Park De Alde Feanen
- The Middelsee route; a beautiful historic route through the salt marsh area of the former Middelsee in Friesland. This route is part of the Elfsteden route. If you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of the Princess Margriet Canal then this historic route between Leeuwarden and Sneek is a wonderful alternative. On the way you can interrupt your trip pleasant on various places.
- The Standing Mast Route Friesland; This route makes it possible to sail with a standing mast from Leeuwarden to the South of Friesland. Experience Friesland at its best. Experience and a great nature full of water!
